About Us

Sage Yarn, a family operated business established in 2000, is a truly unique yarn shop located in historic downtown Falmouth, MA. We enjoy bringing our customers a wide variety of quality products at exceptional value that surprise and delight even our most discriminating visitors. As we continue to search for the best and most unique offerings, we hope you will stop by to see what is new.

Deb Reilly
Deb is the owner of Sage Yarn. A multi-talented artist with concentrations in counted cross stitch and foil stained glass, Deb began knitting when she bought the shop. As with most, she started small and is now knitting wonderful patterns for kids and adults. She prefers the whimsical, and has created some fun hats and tops for kids.

Jen Reilly
Jen is Deb's daughter and a wonderful knitter in her own right (she taught mom!). Jen is a graduate of UNH and holds a Masters of Music Education from Arizona State. Funny and articulate, Jen's projects tend to the more serious. She loves Norah Gaughan's style, and knits beautiful shawls in all weights. Jen is also the blogmaster and keeps us in touch through Ravelry. She teaches most of our classes and is always on hand to help out when someone needs to talk through a pattern.

Carol Amaral
Carol joined us in 2007 after more than 30 years with the Falmouth Public Schools. Carol is a lifelong knitter and is constantly challenging herself with new patterns and techniques. Carol's knowledge of the Cape's trends and style tremendously helps us "wash-ashores".

Anne Carlson
Sage would not exist without its founder, Anne Carlson. Anne is off exploring new adventures, but her lasting imprint remains.
